Formal Renderings of 8 Palmetto Street, Brooklyn Released by GF55 Architects

8 Palmetto Street is a new mixed-use residential building being developed in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Lead architects GF55 Architects recently released the final formal renderings of the 104,000 sq. ft. building.

It will consist of 88 rental units, community facilities, a ground-floor supermarket, and a parking garage for 100 vehicles. Space division implies the rental units will be around 81 sq. ft. each, and the complex will come with outdoor roof space. However, it’s currently unclear whether there will be other amenities included in the building.

The community facilities will cover 20,000 sq. ft. and will include a healthcare services provider.

8 Palmetto Street is the latest project from Ekstein Development Group, which includes several others in New York. Although no beginning or completion date has yet been announced, we at Construction Guide are glad to see new development coming to the Bushwick area.

Important Milestone Reached on 58 St Marks Place Project

58 St Marks Place in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, is an exciting development project that we’ve been following for some time now. It’s recently reached an important milestone: the terracotta façade was recently installed on the 12-storey residential building.

The project, designed by INC Architecture and Design, with Isaac & Stern as the architect of record, will include 100 residential units. There will be 338 floor-to-ceiling windows across the building, which are currently also being installed.

Each unit is designed with personal wellness and community in mind. Among the various impressive features are white oak flooring, Bosch appliance packages, and zoned HVAC systems with HEPA filters. There is also a 19,000 sq. ft. central garden and fitness center with a range of wellness facilities. The rooftop includes landscaped gardens with outdoor dining and seating areas.

Sales of the units launched earlier this year, ranging from $550,000 for a studio to $3,700,000 for a four-bedroom apartment. Almost all units have private outdoor space, and the building comes with relevant services such as handyman, plumber, and 24-hour lobby. Occupancy will begin later this year, and we at Construction Guide can’t wait to see the finished building.
