Alexander Gorlin, along with being an award-winning architect, is also a noted critic and scholar, and is the author of several books on architecture. Gorlin has a wide range of architectural creations, but is well known for his use of space and light, along with his creative use of natural materials.

Included in Alexander Gorlin’s range of talents that he brings as an advisor to Construction Guide are his experience with high-end residential private homes, schools, religious buildings, supportive and affordable housing, and his master planning. Examples of Gorlin’s work has been exhibited in the Chicago Athenaeum, the Venice Biennale and the MoMA.

Gorlin graduated from Cooper Union School of Architecture and also has an M.Arch from Yale School of Architecture. Among the numerous awards Gorlin has won are several AIA awards and Architectural Digest’s Top 100 Architects since 2000. Also, he was made a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2005 for his contributions to the profession. Gorlin is the author of a number of books, including Alexander Gorlin: Buildings and Projects and Tomorrow’s Houses: New England Modernism.
